The Automatic Sand Patch Tester is developed and manufactured by Hebei Tianqixingzi Inspection Equipment Co., Ltd. in accordance with the industry standard JTG E60-2008 Field Test Methods of Highway Subgrade and Pavement (T0962-1995 Test Method for Measuring Pavement Texture Depth Using an Electric Sand Patch Tester), with reference to ASTM E965 and EN 13036-1.

II. Instrument Structure

The Automatic Sand Patch Tester consists of a hopper, frame, measuring scale, micro motor, and control unit. Standard accessories include a calibration glass plate, standard sand volume cylinder, brush, and other accessories.

IV. Operating Precautions

1. Since the instrument is relatively delicate and most of the transmission components are exposed, the device must be kept clean at all times. In particular, the lead screw and guide rod should be kept free from dust and contaminants. Handle the instrument carefully during operation.

2. Avoid using the instrument outdoors in windy or sandy weather conditions whenever possible.

3. When filling the sand hopper with sand, pour the sand evenly and uniformly.

4. After each use, clean the instrument immediately and store it in the dedicated wooden case.

5. If the positive and negative poles of the power supply are connected incorrectly, correct the connection immediately.
