I. Product Introduction
The Computerized British Pendulum Friction Tester is developed and manufactured by Hebei Tianqixingzi Inspection Equipment Co., Ltd. in accordance with JTG 3450-2019 Field Test Methods of Subgrade and Pavement for Highway Engineering (T 0969-2019 Test Method for Measuring Pavement Friction Coefficient Using a Digital Pendulum Tester), with reference to ASTM E303 and BS 598.
The tester is developed based on the fundamental principle that the loss of potential energy of the pendulum is equal to the work done by the rubber slider at the end of the pendulum arm to overcome pavement friction as it slides across the pavement surface.
