Products Description

The testing system automatically collects, processes, and analyzes the measurement data. Test results can be displayed and stored in real time through the computer software. The system can calculate and output the SFC value and related pavement skid resistance indicators according to the selected test distance and reporting interval. Test data can also be saved for further analysis and quality assessment.

Single-Wheel Sideway Force Coefficient Tester

Model:TDMC-2

I. Application

The Single-Wheel Sideway Force Coefficient Tester is designed for pavement quality acceptance and continuous measurement of the sideway force coefficient under normal traffic conditions on road surfaces without severe defects such as potholes or rutting. It is used to measure the sideway force coefficient of asphalt and cement concrete pavements using a standard friction coefficient testing vehicle. The tester complies with JTG 3450-2019 Field Test Methods of Subgrade and Pavement for Highway Engineering, with reference to BS 7941-1 and CEN/TS 15901-6.

II. Product Features

1. The Single-Wheel Sideway Force Coefficient Tester is a specialized device for measuring the friction coefficient of road surfaces and airport runways. It can perform continuous testing for up to 24 hours under demanding conditions. The tester offers great flexibility in selecting a towing vehicle, as it does not require a dedicated vehicle or special installation. The system is equipped with fully PC-compatible Windows software, data transmission software, and a user-friendly analysis interface, allowing test results to be processed and generated in the format required by the user.

2. The Single-Wheel Sideway Force Coefficient Tester consists of a load-bearing vehicle, distance measurement device, sideway force measurement device, water supply system, and main control unit. In addition to controlling the operation of the testing and water supply systems, the main control unit also manages data transmission, recording, processing, and calculation.

III. Technical Specifications

1. Load-Bearing Vehicle: The vehicle chassis is used to mount and carry the testing, water storage and supply, control, and data recording systems. It has a maximum speed of more than 100 km/h when the water tank is fully loaded.
