The tester determines the water permeability of geotextiles by measuring the volume of water passing vertically through the specimen under a specified constant hydraulic head. During the test, water is continuously supplied to maintain a stable hydraulic head difference across the specimen. The amount of water passing through the specimen within a specified period is measured and used to evaluate its water permeability characteristics.

I. Product Introduction

The Geotextile Vertical Water Permeability Tester is designed to determine the vertical water permeability of various water-permeable geotextiles and composite geotextiles under a constant hydraulic head. The tester is designed and manufactured in accordance with JTG E50-2006, Test Methods of Geosynthetics for Highway Engineering, with reference to ISO 11058 and ASTM D4491/D4491M. It adopts a horizontal constant-head test configuration for accurate and reliable permeability testing.
