Products Description

The Hydrostatic Balance (Buoyancy Method) is designed for accurate determination of specific gravity and density of materials based on Archimedes' principle. It is widely used in laboratories for testing aggregates, asphalt mixtures, concrete, ceramics, and other construction materials, providing fast, precise, and reliable weighing results.

Hydrostatic Balance for Specific Gravity

Model:TD113-1

I. Product Overview

The Hydrostatic Balance is available in three accuracy levels: 0.1 g, 0.01 g, and 0.001 g. It features tare, auto-calibration, memory, counting, and fault indication functions. The balance provides accurate, fast, and stable weighing performance with simple operation and comprehensive functionality.

It is widely used in industrial, commercial, educational, and research laboratories for the rapid determination of the mass and quantity of various materials. The housing is constructed from a combination of metal and high-quality plastic, while the weighing pan is made of stainless steel. Two display options are available: LED digital display and LCD display.

Related Standards: ASTM C127, ASTM C128, ASTM D2726, AASHTO T84, AASHTO T85, EN 1097-6, JTG E42, JTG 3430

II. Technical Specifications

1. Maximum Capacity: 5000 g

2. Readability: 0.1 g, 0.01 g, 0.001 g

3. Overall Dimensions: 310 × 245 × 120 mm

4. Power Supply: 220 V, 50 Hz

5. Maximum Power Consumption: 3 W

III. Standard Configuration

One electronic balance main unit

One instruction manual

One certificate of conformity

One weighing pan

One calibration weight

One external power supply

IV. Precautions for Use

1. Before use, the balance should be powered on and preheated according to the specified requirements.

2. The total weight of the tare and the material being weighed must not exceed the maximum weighing capacity.

3. If the weighing result is inaccurate, calibrate the balance using a standard calibration weight.

4. When removing the weighing pan from the balance, rotate the pan clockwise before taking it off. Do not pull the pan upward forcefully, as this may damage the sensor.

5. Error Messages and Troubleshooting

If an error message appears, please follow the instructions below:

Lower horizontal line (----): Indicates that the load on the balance is below the minimum weighing range. Recalibrate the balance using a standard weight.

Upper horizontal line (----): Indicates an overload alarm. Remove the excessive load and recalibrate the balance using a standard weight.

ERR---1: Caused by continuous power on/off operations. Turn off the balance and wait for 3 seconds before switching it on again.

ERR---2: Indicates that the weighing process is not stable. Please wait for a moment until the reading becomes stable.

Empty battery symbol displayed on the screen: Indicates low battery voltage. Replace the battery.

V. Application Fields

The Hydrostatic Balance is widely applied in material testing laboratories for determining specific gravity, density, and relative density of various materials. It is suitable for quality control, research, and testing applications in industries including:

Aggregate testing laboratories

Asphalt and pavement material laboratories

Cement and concrete testing laboratories

Ceramic and building material laboratories
