It provides accurate testing under controlled temperature, humidity, and airflow conditions, complying with ASTM E1333, ASTM D6007, EN 717-1, and ISO 12460-1 standards.

I. Product Overview
This equipment is mainly used for the determination of free formaldehyde emissions from consumer products such as wood products, furniture, flooring, carpets, footwear products, and building decoration materials.
Specimens with a known surface area are placed into a test chamber where the temperature, humidity, air flow rate, and air exchange rate are controlled at specified levels. Formaldehyde is released from the specimens and mixed with the air inside the chamber. Air samples are periodically extracted from the chamber and passed through a gas washing bottle containing water, where the released formaldehyde is absorbed and its concentration in the water is measured.
The formaldehyde concentration in the chamber air is calculated based on the formaldehyde concentration absorbed in the washing solution and the volume of extracted air. The result is expressed in milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m³). Sampling is performed periodically until the formaldehyde concentration inside the test chamber reaches an equilibrium state.

The constant temperature chamber adopts rigid foaming insulation materials, and the chamber door is equipped with a silicone rubber sealing strip, providing excellent thermal insulation and airtightness. A forced air circulation system (forming a circulating airflow) is installed inside the chamber to ensure uniform temperature and humidity distribution throughout the chamber.

6. Air tightness: The hatch is self-sealing. Sealing performance meets the following requirements:
① At 10 kPa positive pressure (gauge pressure), the air leakage rate inside the chamber is less than 10⁻³ * 1 m³/min;
② The difference in gas flow rate between the inlet and outlet is less than 1%.
7. Inner casing material: Seamlessly welded 304 mirror-finish stainless steel plate. Welded areas and surrounding surfaces are polished and free from deformation. The inner wall is smooth and evenly colored, without exposed substrate, delamination, blistering, or scratches.
8. Outer casing material: A3 color-coated steel plate with electrostatic spraying. The coating is smooth and evenly colored, without exposed substrate, delamination, blistering, blemishes, or deep scratches. The compartment and doors are effectively thermally insulated using a double-layer sandwich insulation system of polyurethane and mineral wool. The insulation layer thickness is not less than 50mm, and the thermal conductivity is not greater than 0.01W/(m·K). Seamless welding is used at the joints between the inner wall panels.
9. Air Exchange Device: A device capable of continuously controlling the air exchange rate (dry air flow meter, or other electronic air flow metering device) is installed inside the chamber. The air inlet and outlet should be on different inner walls at different heights to ensure that the airflow supplied to the chamber meets the relevant standard requirements.
10. Air Circulation (Mixing) Device: A fan is installed inside the chamber to enhance air mixing; the air velocity near the specimen surface is between 0.1 m/s and 0.3 m/s (adjustable).
