I. Product Overview
It can perform scratch resistance tests according to GB/T 17657 – Test Methods of Evaluating the Properties of Wood-Based Panels and Surface Decorated Wood-Based Panels, with reference to EN 15186 and EN 14323. It is used to determine the number of revolutions required to produce a specified degree of surface wear when a pair of abrasive wheels covered with abrasive paper rub against a rotating test specimen under a specified load.
This test method is applicable to laminate flooring with impregnated paper overlays and other decorative wood-based panel surfaces requiring scratch resistance evaluation.
II. Applications
The Wood-Based Panel Scratch Resistance Tester is used to evaluate the scratch resistance and surface durability of materials by assessing their resistance to scratching, scoring, scraping, gouging, and similar surface damage. In addition to wood-based panels, it can also be applied to rigid organic materials, plastics, glass, and other decorative surface materials.
