Products Description
The instrument operates on the principle that a measured volume of air passes through a compacted powder bed with a specified porosity and thickness, and the resistance to airflow varies according to the characteristics of the powder. By measuring the air permeability, the specific surface area of the material can be determined.
Automatic Cement Blaine Fineness Tester
Model: TD8074-5
I. Product Introduction
The Blaine Air Permeability Apparatus was developed and manufactured by Hebei Tianqixingzi Inspection Equipment Co., Ltd. in accordance with the Chinese industry standard JTG E30-2005, Test Methods of Cement and Cement Concrete for Highway Engineering (T0504-2005, Test Method for Determination of Cement Specific Surface Area by the Blaine Method). The apparatus complies with the relevant requirements of GB 8074-2008, Test Method for Determination of Specific Surface Area of Cement, and was developed with reference to the air-permeability method specified in ASTM C204-75.
It is primarily used to determine the specific surface area of cement and can also be used for various powdered materials, including ceramics, abrasives, metals, coal, food products, explosives, and other fine powders.

III. Maintenance and Care
1. Wipe the instrument frequently to keep it clean. Store it in the instrument case when not in use.
2. Maintain the liquid level in the barometer at the specified height.
3. After the test, clean the cylinder and perforated plate and place them in the accessory box for later use.
4. Before the test, check that the electromagnetic pump is operating properly and adjust the negative pressure in advance to prevent liquid from being accidentally drawn into the electromagnetic pump. During the test, if the liquid level fails to rise to the uppermost graduation mark, or rises too quickly and reaches the middle of the glass tube bulb while the pump and valve continue operating, press the “Confirm” key to stop the test immediately. Then open the rear cover of the instrument and adjust the throttle valve with connector to regulate the rate of negative-pressure change.
5. Avoid direct sunlight on the phototube or use in environments with frequent changes in light intensity.
