Products Description

The Electronic Mineral Wool Fiber Shot Content Tester is a specialized laboratory instrument designed to determine the shot content in flocculent mineral wool fibers. It is widely used for quality control and performance evaluation of mineral wool, rock wool, and insulation fiber materials, providing accurate and reliable testing results for research, manufacturing, and material analysis applications.

Mineral Wool Shot Content Tester

Model:TDJT533-O

I. Technical Parameters

This instrument is designed and manufactured according to GB/T5480-2017 "Test Methods for Mineral Wool and Its Products". It can analyze the slag ball content of glass wool and its products, slag wool, cotton and its products, and aluminosilicate wool and its products. Utilizing the difference in gravity and resistance experienced by slag balls and fibers when moving in an aqueous medium, the slag balls and fibers are separated, and the slag ball content in the mineral wool is determined by drying and weighing.

Reference or Applicable Standards:GB/T 5480-2017, ISO 10635, ASTM C1335, IS 3144

II. Technical Parameters

1. Glass Rotary Flow Meter: 0-180L/h

2. Separator: Inner Diameter 80mm, Height 380mm

3. Fiber Collector: 138x98mm

4. Slag Ball Collector: 138x98mm

5. Water Tank: 500x300x200mm

6. Net Weight: 25kg

7. Overall Dimensions: 450x560x780mm

III. Operating Procedure

1. Sample Preparation

Prepare the specimen in accordance with the requirements of GB/T 5480.5-2004. Cut approximately 11 g of the sample with full thickness.

For glass wool and its products, heat the sample at (500 ± 20) °C for not less than 30 minutes.

For aluminum silicate wool and its products, heat the sample at (700 ± 20) °C for not less than 30 minutes.

After completely removing the binder, weigh the sample to an accuracy of 0.01 g. The number of specimens shall comply with the relevant product standard requirements and shall not be less than three.

2. Sample Compression

Place the weighed sample into the corresponding sample cylinder and position it on the compression device for manual screw pressurization.

3. Sample Wetting

Remove the compressed sample and place it into a 250 mL beaker. Add 50 mL of surfactant solution and stir thoroughly to ensure that the fibers are fully wetted and dispersed in the solution.
