Products Description
This hydrostatic balance works based on Archimedes' principle of buoyancy. When a sample is weighed in air and water respectively, the weight difference is generated due to buoyancy. By calculating this difference, the volume of the sample can be obtained, and then the density or relative density can be calculated.
Hydrostatic Balance
Model:TDTP-JS
I. Product Introduction
The TDTP-JS series Hydrostatic Balance is developed and manufactured by Hebei Tianqixingzi Testing Equipment Co., Ltd. in accordance with the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China industry standard JTG E40-2007 “Test Methods of Soils for Highway Engineering”, specifically T0169-2007 “Buoyancy Method”.
This test method is applicable to soils with particle sizes greater than or equal to 5 mm, and the mass of particles greater than or equal to 20 mm shall be less than 10% of the total soil mass.
Based on the Archimedes’ principle of buoyancy, this equipment is used to determine the mass variation of soil or granular materials in water, thereby calculating their density or relative density. It is a precision weighing instrument widely used in highway engineering, geotechnical testing, and material inspection.
