5. Sample Preservation
After sampling, promptly place the sample into a clean, dry container that is not susceptible to external contamination, and record information such as sample number, batch number, and sampling date. The sample should be properly sealed to prevent moisture absorption.
III. What precautions should be taken during sampling?
Keep the sampler clean. Check the sampler before and after each use to avoid cross-contamination between different batches of cement.
Keep the sample dry. Cement easily absorbs moisture from the air, so avoid contact with humid environments during sampling and storage.
Increase the number of sampling locations. Randomly selecting multiple different locations for sampling is more beneficial for obtaining representative samples than sampling from a single location.
Properly label the samples. Cement samples from different batches and varieties should be packaged and numbered separately to avoid confusion.
